5 months

i feel like i get the post about him being four months done and its time to post that my baby is 5 months old. sheesh i know i say this every post but time sure does fly. So i'm a little late but on December 23rd Coleman turned 5 months and its so fun seeing little coleman grow up and learn so many new things. He has developed so much character and a little personality of his own, he is so smiley and laughs so easy, but lets be honest he has a little temper too. He is such a good baby, except lately he has started this new thing of HATING his crib... yeah tell me about it... he'll sleep in our arms, he'll sleep in his carseat, he'll sleep on the floor, he'll sleep on mine and Nate's bed, but for some reason he just hates sleeping in his crib... so evey night me and Nate have to trick him. We have him fall asleep in our arms till he is completely out and then quite carefully set him down in his crib and if were lucky he stays asleep, and if not we start the whole process over again... so if you have any suggestions we'd love love love to hear them! Coleman now has two teeth and the cutest little smile to show them off. we sure love Coleman! he is such a blessing in our lives. He reaches and picks stuff up, spits up like crazy (i think its cuz he is now on formula) and the best news of all we just started feeding him rice cereal and banana. He loves them. its fun feeding him but he sure makes a big mess. we were hoping that starting him on more solid foods would get him sleeping through the night but boy were we wrong... now he just eats more at each feeding :) and were are still up at night. o-well, this too shall pass right? I feel so blessed to be a mommy and love Coleman so much, some days are better than others but i can honestly say at the end of each day i go to sleep being so so so so grateful i have Coleman as my son. Love you Coleman

All we want for christmas is Cole's two bottom teeth

ladies and gentlemen WE HAVE TEETH! This has been quite the weekend, Coleman has cut his first tooth on the bottom and the other one is trying. Plus on top of that he is sick with a cough and stuffy nose.... so all you mom's know that means no sleep! no fun! but how exciting that our little guy has teeth. i'll post pictures when you can actually see them, until then wishful thinking that we'll get some sleep around this house :)

New Rules... starting NOW

Okay so i'm giving myself new rules and goals. I need to get my baby weight off so i guess if i make these rules a little more public i might suceed more? maybe?

RuLeS:

1. No sugar (i dont really like sugar i just eat it... why?)

2. No eating after 7:30

3. Workout everyday

4. Eat breakfast, lunch and dinner (sometimes i forget to eat and then by the next meal i'm starving so i eat way way way to much)

5.Count calories and eat between 1200-1500

6. Eat healthy

7. Get ready everyday (somedays i dont get ready cuz i dont have a second so i have to now cuz i find when i get ready i feel better about myself)

8. drink atleast 6 cups of water a day

9. lose 20 pounds

10. GO!

GoAls:

1. work out everyday

2. lose 20 pounds by March 1st

3. run a marathon or do a mini triathalon

4. DO IT!

i LOVE this time of year, it always seems to be so MAGICAL and it seems to be even more magical this year now that we have Coleman...

Its like the little kid has been brought out in me again and i wanna do all the things i loved doing as a kid around this holiday season. I know Coleman is too young to understand but it doesnt stop me! it actually gets me even more GIDDY that i get to do this every year with him and each year he'll understand more and more.

growing up i ALWAYS wanted and always dreamed of being a mom that celebrated holidays with fun family traditions (just like my mom) that you looked forward to every year, i dreamed of being a mom that would take time to do "holiday crafts" with ger kids (just like my mom), i always DREAMED of being a MOM! and this year all my dreams are coming true!

i am SOOOOO BLESSED to have little Coleman as my son, he has brought a joy to nate and i that i dont think we could find anywhere else. I look forward to each day and the fun that me and that little man get to have together, he keeps me smiling and makes Nate and i so HAPPY!

i am SOOOOOOO blessed to have a husband that cares about me and Coleman and that is such a GREAT dad. He loves me and Coleman and does so much for us. He is such a good husband and makes me sooooooo SOOOOO HAPPY! I LOVE NATE!

and of course...
i am so so so blessed to have the gospel that gives me the knowledge that me and my two boys get to be together forever! what a HAPPY GREAT WONDERFUL thought that is... i get to spend forever with my two favorite people! HOW HAPPY!

I love this season, i think the real reason why is because it makes me take a second and look at how blessed i am! I am so BLESSED!
I love this SEASON, i love NATE, i love COLEMAN, and I LOVE THE GOSPEL!

4 months young

wow today our little Cole Bear is 4 months old! he is growing so big so fast! He is trying to talk to us and has started a very hillarious high pitched talk. it makes me smile everytime he does it! He is reaching for stuff and pulling it straight to his mouth (of course) and loves smiling and laughing! he has the cutest little giggle and his dad can really get him laughing. he is our little scaredy cat too, loud noises and sudden movements make him jump and most of the time cry. he still loves being bounced and we discovered he LOVES the trampoline! he is so big and wearing some 6 month clothes. we sure love him! and NO he is not sleeping through the night, but its okay i've learned to really love the mid night feedings and cherish holding a sleeping baby! well we decided its probably time to update you with pictures. Nate loves putting Coleman in funny wierd places that you normally wouldn't see a person or a baby and take a picture... hence Coleman is in Nate's lunch box. such a good sport.

well our computer is being stupid so i guess we are only going to give you a picture of our little man in a lunch box and that was taken 2 months ago... Sorry i got your hopes up but stay tuned for more... this is just a taste of whats to come!

Getting SO big SO fast!!

Yesterday my baby Coleman turned 3 months!!! before i know it he wont be my baby anymore... that thought alone makes me cry!!! he is so dang cute and i just love kissing his chubby little cheeks! he loves being held, i get teased by family that he is gonna be one spoiled kid cuz i hold him so much but i cant put him down and he can be spoiled right now, he's only three months!!! he is such a good little baby, he is starting to laugh and its probably the cutest thing i have ever heard! he loves being rocked to sleep but hasn't slept through the night yet and it really doesnt look like its gonna happen anytime soon. He is mine and nate's greatest joy! we sure love him to pieces! he is teething right now so we got through about 3 onsies a day cuz they are soaked through with drool. you would think i would be smarter and put a bib on him! he has to be held facing outward so he can see whats going on and he loves being talked to... if you talk to him for a minute your sure to see a huge grin! and of course he still loves being bounced but hey i can't complain cuz it gives my legs a killer workout! :) he is starting to attempt sitting up but always ends up slipping to the left or right or sometimes face forward. he loves his swing and and he loves his Bumbo (mommy does too). he loves the bathtub and is starting to splash. he is always wiggling and moving even in h is sleep. So little story... at night i swaddle wrap him in a blanket and then put a warmer heavier blanket over top of him. So the other night i laid him down for the night in the MIDDLE of the crib in ALL directions (hope that makes sense) well when he woke up in the middle of the night to feed i went in to get him out of his crib he was all UNWRAPPED out of his blankets, SIDEWAYS at the TOP of the crib. my first thought was... why would nate lay him like that, then i realized nate wouldn't wake up to feed him in the first place... so how the heck did he get like that??? well... long story short it has happend every night since then. i now put him at the very BOTTOM of the crib smack dab in the MIDDLE. but without fail he is up at the top of the crib sideways! WE got ourselves a wiggle worm!!! over the last three months coleman has already developed some unique nicknames from family and friends, here are some of them... Rufio(my brothers call him that) Coleypokie(my mom calls him that) buster(my dad calls him that) coley polie( nate's dad call him that) and lots lots more! we sure love Coleman and wouldnt trade him for anything!! HAPPY THREE MONTHS!!!

okay i'm terrible with posting and i always post when i dont have any pictures on the computer or dont have my camera with me! but i thought i'd give you a quick update about our lives and whats been going on... so bare with me if this post is killer long cuz a lot of stuff has happened...

well the day coleman turned 2 months old Nate got diagnosed with the stupid swine flu!!! he got a temp. of 104 and had a nasty cough. the doctor told him to stay away from me an Coleman so we didnt get it, so he went and stayed at his parents house for the rest of the week and i went and stayed at my parents. it was a hard 5 days! coming home had never felt better! the thing i learned from this is that swine flu isnt as scary as everyone is making it out to be, well at least nate's version of it wasnt, and that God is so very mindful of us and answers prayers... to this day me and Coleman still havent gotten it but everyone in my family has and i personally think it is an answer to my prayers. I also learned how much i love Nate and how much i really do depend on him, i dont know how single parents do it and i tip my hat off to you cuz it was HARD!

Coleman is now rolling over like crazy, but only from his stomach to his back. He is talking and smiling always! We had a special event happen las sunday... we blessed Coleman. Nate did such a neat awesome blessing. it was a really specail day. When Coleman woke up that morning it was like he knew what was going on... he was so smiley! more than usual and he was so content and happy! Nate said that while he was blessing him he looked at him for a second and Coleman had a huge grin in his face! what a cute baby boy we have been blessed with!
We think he has started teething this past week too. He is drooling like crazy, a little fussy and has to always be chewing on something, most of the time it is his hands in his mouth. I also think he is going through a growth spurt cuz he is eating like a mad man! I cant wait to dress him up for halloween! we got him the cutest costume! i sure love my little man!

Nate is busy busy with work and being a great dad and husband. He just got called into young mens also! he'll do so good! he truely is the love of my life and such a great guy! he makes me so happy and is so good to help with Coleman and around the house.

We had a special event in the Denny Family little brayden, nate's youngest brother, got married last week. it was so neat. they got married in the Salt Lake Temple. I love his wife too, she is Such a sweetheart and they are so cute together! CONGRATS guys!!
and another neat thing is that Coleman is gonna have a cousin!! my sister-in-law Jessica is pregnant!! WOOT WOOT! i cant wait! i'm so excited for her and i tell her all the time... so much that she is probably sick of it! :) but being a mom is the greatest thing in the whole wide world so i cant wait for her! Her Baby and Coleman will be about 9 months apart maybe a little more! i think she is gonna have a girl but secretly i really want her to have a boy... for Colemans sake! :)

I have made a goal to lose 25 pounds by January 1st. right now it seems so impossible but i'm gonna do it!!! i gained some wieght being pregnant and i want it gone!!! so if i reach my goal i'm gonna reward myself some how! so no sugar or treats for me because 6 pack abs here i come!

okay so i think i have probably bored you to death but thats our little update with no pictures... LAME!!! but hopefully i'll be better at posting so i wnt have these terribly lengthy posts!

2 months old!!!

wow time sure does fly! our little coleman is already 2 months old today!!! i cant even believe it! he is such a good baby! he is trying to roll over, trying to talk, smiling, sucking his thumb, and eating like he's been starving for days!! he holds his head up like a champ and loves being bounced and rocked! we sure love him and couldn't imagine life without him! happy 2 months Coleman! i feel so blessed to be his mom! i love the midnight feedings cuz its just me and him and the stresses of the world have gone to bed. coleman we love you!!!

Introducing...

COLEMAN MARTELL DENNY

was welcomed into the world on July 23, 2009 at 1:13 pm. He weighed in at 7 lbs 11 oz. and 21 ans a half inches long! He is such a joy and a blessing in our lives. Its hard to imagine what we did before he came along! I ended up having a scheduled c-section and would do it that way all over again. Colemans head was caught on my hip so i wasnt dialating or anything. so... after a 13 minute c-section our little guy came into the world and the fun hasnt stopped since!

our little man is already three weeks old and its so crazy how fast time has flown by and its crazy how you can love someone so much. Coleman is such a good baby! he is actually very chill and content and he LOVES his daddy! Nate is such a good Dad and you can tell he loves Coleman so much!

Our days have been filled with dirty diapers, bottles, and laundry and we wouldn't change a thing! life has been an adventure starting on July 23rd, an adventure that we have loved every second of and cant wait to see what the weeks, months and years to come bring us!

Two Post in one week... Who are you??

okay well this week has been quite the week... Nate has been out of town so i have been staying at my parents house, cuz I'm WAY to big of a chicken to stay at home alone for 2 weeks. But man I am so lucky to have such an AWESOME family and support system! granted they stay up way later than I'm used to, eat much healthier than i do and are thousands of times more busy than my life i am so grateful for them! they are great and my bestest friends! Thanks for the warm bed to sleep in and the loving hugs in the morning! love you guys!! thanks again

He is out of town again, and working harder than ever! i miss him so so so so much! this out of town stuff gets really really really old! he is so good to work so hard and bring home the bacon but i miss him like crazy! sorry for the sappy feelings and love notes but hey... whats a girl supposed to do!? and you are probably shocked that I've posted twice in a week, but what can i say but i am pretty shocking!

Whats been going on lately???

well first I'd like to start this "post" off by telling you all that a year ago this time i was in Hawaii and i am very bitter that i am not there right now :) yes one in the middle in the picture above is me... and yes i wish i was there right now! man time sure does fly... a lot has happened lately and of course I'm terrible about posting so i decided to do it all in one big scoop... so if you make it through this whole thing good for you... and if not than... WHATEVER DUDE!!!

well our sweet princess Megan went to prom last week and looked so beautiful! i had the awesome privilege of doing her hair. It was so fun and turned out pretty darn cute if i might say so myself! these are some pictures of her and the family before she was off to dance the night away...

AND WHAT ELSE HAS BEEN GOING ON??? Well let me tell you...

Today we celebrate JESSE!!! he has been out one year! Last year at this time the whole family was crying our eyes out and did for about three weeks... wow time has flown by! last week we actually got an e-mail form him and they are sending him back to Bolivia, only him and one other elder. They left yesterday, no word yet on how he is doing but We are so excited for him and are so proud of him! he is such a hard working missionary and a great example! He is back in Bolivia just in time to celebrate 1 year! and of course the count down till he comes home can begin now! :)

OTHER THINGS WE ARE COUNTING DOWN TOO...

**Nate's little brother Brayden gets home June 5th! we are so excited... Nate is counting down the days (ask him he has it on his phone)

**ONLY 91 more days of being pregnant!! WOOT WOOT! I feel like big Bertha or a beached whale (which ever image you prefer to picture in your head) and i know its only going to get worse! plus i just wanna hold and kiss and squeeze the little guy! We have reached a turning point with the pregnancy though and are now going to be doing appointments every 2 weeks! hopefully that will help time fly. We had an ultrasound yesterday and Baby Coleman Denny weighs 2 pounds and 3 ounces! and all is measuring healthy and well.

**My mom and dad celebrate 25 years of being married on MAY 3rd! now that is awesome! so if you see them wish them a happy anniversary and congratulate them that they haven't driven each other into a mental institute somewhere :) we sure love them and appreciate all they do for us!

AND WHAT ELSE???

We went to Bear Lake for Easter with my family and the Bickley's and the Tanners and it was loads of fun! we laughed so hard we were crying (even my dad... now that's some hard laughing!) we four wheeled in the snow and we had the "SPECIAL" privilege of watching a snow mobile hill climb... my life is now fulfilled... actually it was pretty cool to watch but the breed of people you find at those things are a little...different i guess you could say. i mean i was scared of some of the women... if you get my drift.

Nate is working hard as usual for Twin D and is doing the baby's room as well. I guess the man likes to be busy...i sure love him and appreciate all he does for me. He is going to be such a great dad! and I am keeping busy with work and being fat and lazy... well and making a quilt for the little one and still trying to be good at the gym. I feel so blessed to be able to be a mom and I'm so excited.

well if you made it through this post then wow you really are a true friend! :) and hopefully i can be a little better and on top of this whole blogging thing so i don't have to bore you with lines and lines of my rambling!

this is not Spring fever...

okay so you are all probably all right there with me on feeling this whole spring fever in the air but i think mine has gotten a little out of hand and is no longer spring fever but SUMMMER fever! I need this yucky snow crap to all go away and nice wonderful summer to begin!

ITS A BOY!!!!

yes ladys and gentlemen... ITS A BOY!!!!! wahoo we are so excited! Nate couldnt be more thrilled he is already planning fishing trips and basketball games! :)
we are planning on naming him Coleman Martell Denny... thats for now though, who knows what it'll be once we see him!
